My Special Hot Chocolate

Start with your favorite hot chocolate mix or a real good one quality one. I prefer Stephens Mint Truffle, but any favor will work. You have the water real hot when mix it, then add a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. It makes it so creamy.

I imagine it will probably appear more in the future.

 
 
Zucchini Brownies are in a book I haven't released yet, Survive the Night. But, since I have a plant going bonkers on producing, and I have been making them a lot lately, I decided to share the recipe now. They are also my favorite brownie. Much better than you're thinking.


Zucchini Brownies
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
8 Tbsp cocoa
2 cups sugar
2 cups peeled, grated zucchini
3 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup oil
nuts optional (I don't use because I share and too many people with allergies to them.)
Combine all the dry ingredients, stir in zucchini, coating it thoroughly. Add oil and vanilla. Mix well, spread in pan. Bake at 350 degrees. 20-24 minutes for jelly roll pan, 30-35 minutes for 9 x 13 pan. Good with Ice cream or on their own. Extremely moist. Hope you enjoy.

Alysia's Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2  1/4 cup flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 large chocolate bar, chopped up into chip sized pieces. 

(I prefer a Milk Chocolate Symphony Bars. You will appreciate the difference it makes.)

Cream sugars and shortening then add eggs and vanilla. Blend well. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda together and stir into sugar mixture. Then add oatmeal, and chocolate. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Drop spoon sized on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 6 – 8 minutes.
